Is it an accent mark?
Are we supposed to say it a different way than ‘Wall-Den’?
It’s pronounced just how you would think.
I decided to start underlining the “e” after a lifetime of people mishearing and misspelling my name as:
Walton,
Walter,
Wallace,
Walker,
Wallen, and my all-time least favorite:
Waldon.
I was named after my Great-Grandmother on my father’s side and just wanted to remove confusion about the vowel that comes just before the “n” in my name. Hopefully underlining will help with my slew of accidental aliases.
